Ben Davey started his career in golf design working for Tony Cashmore, moving from a junior role on glamor properties like The Dunes and Thirteenth Beach to a more senior position as the company expanded into Asia. In 2008 he left the company to join Bob Shearer in a new venture, Davey Shearer Golf Design with its focus squarely on Asia and China in particular.
After several fruitful years in Asia, Davey parted ways with Shearer and established his own design business – called Contour Golf Design.
Based in Victoria, Davey brings hands-on expertise and genuine golf passion to his clients and the projects he works on. Since 2016 he has been involved in the redevelopment of the Mornington Golf Club, which included the building of a spectacular new par three hole directly above Port Phillip Bay.
