Profile

Jeff Mingay is a Canadian golf architect, who spent many years working alongside the somewhat enigmatic designer Rod Whitman on projects across the country. Mingay has been involved in the creation of several prominent new layouts, including Sagebrush and the exciting Cabot Links course in Nova Scotia.

Mingay is now working solo on projects, including redesign work on the wonderful Victoria Golf Club on Vancouver Island and at many clubs across North America. He apparently also has a few new course projects in the planning stage. Jeff Mingay has clearly done a solid apprenticeship, working with a Quality designer and a man able to physically shape his own golf course himself. In some ways Whitman is a Canadian equivalent to Pete Dye, and we hope that Mingay's career follows in the footsteps of famous Dye disciples like Bill Coore.
