Luke Donald is yet another celebrity golfer turned so-called 'designer'. The one-time World No. 1 ranked player has partnered with IMG Golf Course Services to provide design to clients in need of a marketable brand name. Not less than a week after taking over the top spot in the world rankings IMG announced their already underway design project at Ba Na Hills in Vietnam would now be a Luke Donald course. Such is the nature of 'signature' design.
Unless Luke Donald establishes his own design practice and gets more heavily involved in the process of course creation, we can only recommend him in partnership with a genuine Quality Golf Architect.
