Profile

Chris Pittman is a New Zealand architect who worked with Ronald Fream and his Golf Plan team before establishing his own practice and working with Max Wexler on the Tanjong Course at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. Pittman also worked on the Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore, but clearly his most notable achievement was in his homeland, when he was commissioned to prepare a restoration Master plan for the Titirangi Golf Club outside of Auckland.

Titirangi was originally designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, Pittman tasked with both modernizing parts of the layout whilst also restoring some of the lost MacKenzie design elements. The work was well carried out and showed that Pittman has a solid understanding of MacKenzie’s principals of design.
